Hitting the Slopes at Ski Ward

This post was hosted. All of the opinions are my own.

Today was B's lucky day! He recently hit the slopes at Ski Ward with his uncle an expert skier and he has been talking about it ever since.

B is 6 years old, he has only been skiing twice in his life before today. Ski Ward was kind enough to host him and provide a private lesson with a member of their ski school and also provided rental equipment.

Their tagline "Where it all begins" couldn't be more true! Ski Ward has been a part of my family for two generations, it is actually where my dad brought my brother for ski lessons when he was little. Today my brother is an expert level skier and hits the slopes across the country with his friends and family. I am so happy that B is learning to ski at the very place that my brother was taught.

Ski Ward has something for everyone. What I like about it most is that it is much less intimidating than it's competitors. In the Winter Ski Ward offers 9 trails, 4 lifts and 8 tubing lanes, a rental shop, and a snow school with over 100 instructors teaching group and private lessons. They have three different ways you can get a lift up the hill, the magic carpet that you stand on to lift beginners up the hill, they also have a T Bar that pulls you up the hill and they have a ski lift to bring you up to the very top of the hill.

In addition to the slopes it has a Bar & Grill where you can purchase lunch, dinner, beer, wine, ice cream and according to B "...the best hot chocolate in the World". The lodge is currently closed due to COVID.

Ski Ward's central location could not be more convenient, located in Shrewsbury, MA it is just minutes from Worcester and less than an hour from Boston.

B had a wonderful private one hour lesson that I booked via the ski school. His instructor Chris was very informative and patient. Chris taught B the basics things like form, how to walk in skis and the pizza. This was B's first lesson ever and I am 100% going to sign him up for more. Unfortunately the ski season is ending but I plan to sign up on Ski Wards email list so I can sign him up for more lessons come November.
